We are proud to announce the availability of Simp 2.5, which is the first version to be compatible with Windows Live Messenger / MSN Messenger 2011 and AIM/ICQ 7.

All users of SimpLite-MSN, SimpLite-AIM and SimpPro are strongly encouraged to upgrade, as previous versions are not compatible with the latest official IM clients.

Please note that due to major protocol changes beyond our control, the WLM/MSN and AIM/ICQ encryption engines of Simp 2.5 and higher are not and will never be backward compatible with Simp 2.2. Attempts to establish encrypted MSN or AIM/ICQ chats between users of Simp 2.5 and Simp 2.2 will fail. However, the upgrade process will not affect existing keys and settings.

Known limitations: a bug prevents 4096-bit keys from being exchanged. A patch is under way.
