We have been made aware by a careful customer that fake packages of SimpPro are currently being distributed through spoofed web sites and e-mails. Those web sites are not affiliated with us in any way.

Those packages were purchased with stolen credit cards. They have then been altered. Preliminary analysises revealed that they contain previously unknown backdoors.

Note that despite their malicious payloads, those packages were not quarantined by any of the antivirus software we tested.

• We only use the Microsoft Installer format (MSI) to distribute our packages. We do not use executables (.exe, .pif, .scr, .bat, .com...).

• Download SimpLite and SimpPro from Secway's official sites only, http://www.secway.fr/ or http://www.secway.com/.

• For further verifications, we also publish PGP signatures of our packages on their respective download pages.
